Hardwick 1, Eaton Socon 1
3rd December 2016 :: Cambs FA County League Kershaw Premier
A goal from prolific scorer Dan Heron saw Hardwick equalise to claim a deserved point in a great game at a Hardwick. In the game of the day in the Cambs Kershaw Eaton took the lead on 8 minutes when a corner from Neil Morris eluded everyone and crossed the line to give Morris his first goal of the season. Eaton though were then put under lots of pressure by the hosts and saves from Wale and desperate defending kept Eaton's lead intact.. Heron hit the bar and LGF cleared off the line .. but Eaton still possessed an attacking threat and on half time it looked as if they had increased their lead but the officials adjudged that Fox's shot had not crossed the line but it seemed that it was a poor decision.
The second half saw very much the same with both sides putting everything into winning the game, and on 77 minutes Dan Heron smashed home a great equaliser and the game was level. Eaton came straight back and Wilks should have scored but he blasted over. Again more controversy as a ball in from LGF found Spavins at the far post. His header looked to again crossed the line but again the officials disagreed. Eaton held on to gain a valuable point and remain on second.
