It was 2nd against 3rd as Eaton entertained Fenstanton at River Road on Saturday with both teams looking to boost their promotion hopes. However it was Eaton who took the points after producing one of their best performances of the season.

Eaton were on top from start to finish and should have been ahead early in the game after creating numerous openings. The breakthrough came on the half hour mark when Kyle Morris crossed for Adam Boothby to glance a header into the far corner. A second soon followed when the impressive Alan Moore surged into the box from the left before cutting inside to fire home giving Eaton a 2-0 lead at the break.

The second half was more of the same as Eaton created chances at will. Kyle Martin got the third goal with a superb 25 yard effort that flew into the top corner. Fenstanton scored a consolation after a lucky break soon after but Eaton put the game to bed with further goals from Kyle Morris, Joe Jordan and a second for Moore who got his 10th goal of the season.

A brilliant display from Eaton who now look forward to a top of the table clash against Fordham next week.
